‘Valle de la Luna’ or the valley of the moon is located around 10 km away from San Pedro de Atacama and about 300 kilometers away from the capital city of San Juan.

This Valley consists of the sedimentary Triassic Basin, with continental sediments, which is deposited entire Triassic Period. The age of this basin is roughly 250 to 200 million years. which also represents the origin of both dinosaurs and mammals……………
