             This is video is about an expression which is “Fond of”.
           ‘Fond of’ is used to express following Hindi expression.
          ‘shauk, shaukin’
Examples:
                Mujhe gana gane ka shauk hai.
               Mere dost ko car chalane ka shauk hai.
STRUCTURE:
POSITIVE SENTENCE:
                      [Sub + am/is/are/was/were + fond of + verb+ing + Ob]
Examples:
           Hindi sentence: Mujhe gana gane ka shauk hai.
                 Translation: I am fond of singing a song.
           Hindi sentence: Mere dost ko car chalane ka shauk hai.
                 Translation: My friend is fond of driving a car.
PAST EXAMPLES:
          Hindi sentence:    Mujhe nachne ka shauk tha.
I  Translation:       I was fond of dancing.
          Hindi sentence:     Use khana pakane ka shauk tha.
               Translation:     He was fond of cooking food.
NEGATIVE SENTENCE:
   [Sub + am/is/are/was/were + not +  fond of + verb+ing + Ob]
Examples:
           Hindi sentence: Mujhe gana gane ka shauk nahi hai.
             Translation: I am not fond of singing a song.
           Hindi sentence: Mere dost ko car chalane ka shauk nahi hai.
               Translation: My friend is not fond of driving a car.
INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE:
NEGATIVE SENTENCE:
   [ am/is/are/was/were + sub +  fond of + verb+ing + Ob]
Examples:
       Hindi sentence: Kya Mujhe gana gane ka shauk  hai?
             Translation:  Am I fond of singing a song?
       Hindi sentence: Kya Mere dost ko car chalane ka shauk  hai?
             Translation: Is My friend fond of driving a car?
HOW TO PRACTICE AT HOME:
You should write down a lot of sentences that end with “shauk /shaukin’
Then use the sentence structure and translate into English. Once you master translating then try to think and speak without writing; by doing this you will be fluent and confident.
