Retired Navy SEAL Jason Redman gives an AMAZING talk on how to get though hard times. Jason suffered a catastrophic failure as a leader, came back to redeem himself, only to be shot eight times by an enemy machine gun in Iraq, including a round to the face. Despite the incredible adversity and four year recovery, Jason launched from his crisis by posting a bright orange sign on his hospital door that became a national emblem of resilience. Jason went on to become a New York Times best selling author of The Trident and just released his new book Overcome which provided the basis for this Ted Talk. Jason blends lessons learned from his military special operations career and subsequent work with wounded warriors and civilian traumatic incidents. He then breaks them down into a five step process to help you REACT and overcome any life hardship. This talk will inspire you to move forward from any crisis and lead others to follow you. After being severely wounded in Iraq in 2007, Redman returned to active duty before retiring in 2013.
