Plus, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has been luring thousands of desperate migrants to his country, amid promises they will let them enter Europe. But instead, they are trapped in freezing weather on the Polish border, with no shelter or food. As Crystal Goomansingh reports, Lukashenko is being accused of using them as political pawns to retaliate against the European Union.

Canada is marking 100 years since adopting the poppy as a symbol of remembrance to honour the sacrifice of soldiers and to raise money for veterans. But how did the delicate flower become such an enduring symbol? Mike Drolet reports on the people who helped propel the poppy to prominence.
