Recognizing that the data and numbers are not the sum of who we are. Without the hard data, know that value can also be defined by progress and connections. Sylvia Siying Chen is an aspiring semi-professional ballerina who is passionate about Computer Science and Neuroscience. Besides ballet, one of her biggest passions is to apply what she’s learned and solve actual problems in life. She was one of the members of the champion team of the MIT EnergyHack in 2018. She currently works as an intern in an interdisciplinary program co-creating a therapy game intended for children with cleft speech problems sponsored by UC Santa Cruz. She plans to pursue professional careers in both science and art. She loves to express herself through dance, music and public speaking.
