236. Culvert 9 Replacement at Yelvertoft Marina - Part One

As part of the Canal and River Trust’s (CRT) Winter Works programme, Culvert 9, which passes beneath the canal on the Leicester Summit Section of the Grand Union Canal at Yelvertoft Marina is to be replaced due to a leak into it. This work commenced on 15th November and will last until 17th December. The Marina Management decided to close the entrance to the Marina and in this episode, moorers assist with a trial run and the actual closure, you will also see some prep work by the CRT.
